Life can feel overwhelming when challenges seem to come from every direction. Sometimes it can be difficult to see a path forward when anxiety, trauma, or life's stressors create a sense of tunnel vision. I believe that therapy provides a space to slow down, gain clarity, and discover that meaningful change is possible.

My passion is helping clients heal from trauma and move toward a life that feels more peaceful, balanced, and fulfilling. One of my primary areas of focus is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps individuals process difficult experiences and reduce the lasting impact trauma can have on daily life, relationships, and emotional well-being. I find it incredibly rewarding to walk alongside clients as they experience healing and regain confidence in themselves.

I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and have spent more than 10 years supporting adolescents and adults through Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My experience also includes family counseling, crisis intervention, and working with at-risk youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
I consider myself an eclectic counselor and tailor therapy to fit each client's unique needs, experiences, and goals. In addition to EMDR, I incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT).

I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the counseling process, and I approach every session with empathy, compassion, and respect.
I work with individuals, families, children, and adolescents ages 11 and older. While I help clients navigate a variety of concerns, I have a special passion for working with those who have experienced trauma.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a police officer. That experience gave me a unique perspective on resilience, crisis situations, and the challenges people face every day. It also strengthened my commitment to helping others find healing, hope, and lasting change.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
